"We feel that it likely has been underreported in China - the way they're ready to control their media about that," Perdue said at Landus Helpful office in Ames, Iowa.

China on 3 August detailed its first instances of the fatal ASF in Liaoning area and found another flare-up in Zhengzhou in focal Henan region two weeks after the fact.
